## Abstract Six cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes were investigated to assess their potential as photosensitizers for long‐range electron transfer, and two of them were incorporated directly into covalent donor–bridge–acceptor molecules. The influence of ligand substitutions on the excited‐stat
