Excess enthalpies and excess heat capacities of {x2-butanone + (1 -x)1,4-dioxane}, and {xcyclohexanone, or 2-butanone, or 1,4-dioxane + (1 -x)1,2-dimethoxyethane} were measured at T = 298.15 K. Excess enthalpies were negative for {x2-butanone + (1 -x)1,2-dimethoxyethane}, and negative with a small p

✦ Synopsis
Densities of two binary mixtures formed by γ-butyrolactone with 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene and 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene have been determined over the full range of compositions over the temperature range (288.15 K to 308.15 K) and the local barometric pressure using a vibrating-tube densimeter. From these experiments, excess molar volumes (V E m ) have been calculated. It is found to be positive with a maximum at about the mole fraction of 0.5. Excess volumes were also fitted to a Redlich-Kister type equation. Our result shows V E m increases when temperature increases in the studied systems.
