Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) membranes (both homogeneous and asymmetric) were studied for the pervaporation separation of benzene/ n-hexane and benzene/ cyclohexane mixtures. The asymmetric PVA membrane with skin and porous layers was prepared through the phase inversion technique. Both asymmetric and
