A model for the interface of two interacting one-component plasmas of different background densities separated by an impermeable surface, is solved exactly in two dimensions at one special temperature. This model emulates the behaviour of an ideally polarizable interface. We obtain density profiles.
A simple model of electrons interacting with phonons which displays a metal-insulator phase transition in the case of s.c. and b.c.c, tight-binding bands is studied. A proof is given that the model is exactly solvable in the thermodynamic limit.
