Using the 4 ร‚ 4 transfer matrix method, we investigate the splitting of defect-modes in onedimensional magnetic photonic crystal. Numerical results exhibit defect-mode splitting in the presence of external magnetic fields. The splitting condition has been examined. The results show that defectmode s
