โฆ Synopsis
The evoked potential of the sacral arc is becoming an important tool in testing the integrity of the sacral arc reflex in various neurologic conditions. We compared several known techniques on 40 patients with normal and diseased spinal cords. The somatic and autonomic components should be tested in each patient, particularly those with peripheral neuropathies. We present some considerations in the procedure of testing that may be of help in detecting subtle neurologic deficits of the sacral arc.
