โฆ Synopsis
Empirical formulae for evaluating the dielectric relaxation intensity or the magnitude of dielectric dispersion from dielectric loss data in a limited range of frequency around the relaxation frequency are presented for the Cole-Cole, Davidson-Cole, and Williams-Watts type of relaxation. The relaxation intensity Ae is expressed in terms of E"~ the dielectric loss maximum and W the frequency separation for a half, two thirds, or three quarters of E"M in the form AE = E"~/ [(Cl/W) + C2 + C3W ] where numerical constants C 1, C2, and C3 are given for the respective types of relaxation.
The formulae tested with some experimental data give the sufficient accuracy in evaluation of the relaxation intensity.
