✦ Synopsis
The amount of charge transfer in TTF-TCNQ and related solid compleses was determined by the anzdysis of the S 2p peak shape in their X-ray photoelectron spectra. The amount of charge transfer is 0.56 i 0.05 in TTF-TCNQ. The molccular ratio of TTF+ in the TTF column is determined to be 0.71 i 0.05 in the TTF-Bre_, crystai and 0.52 f 0.05 in TTF-Jo.7 r, which correspond respectively to 100 and 73% charge transfer between TTF and halogen.
