✦ Synopsis

AIrstrati-The use of three parameter Weibull probability distributions in the analysis of single specimen fracture toughness test data is described. A Monte Carlo procedure has been used to estimate the accuracy of evaluating lower bound fracture toughness values from a small number of test specimens. Results are compared with data which has been analysed assuming a normal distribution of specimen toughness values.
