This is one of a number of recent books on stress, but with a difference. Cox adds sections on topics that are not to be found in other books on stress, because they are of particular interest to him personally. For readers of Applied Ergonomics, the most useful half of the book is likely to be Chapter 7 on Stress at Work, the second part of Chapter 3 on The Psychological Response to Stress, Chapter 4 on Stress and Health, and Chapter 5 on The Management and Alleviation of Stress.
