Fulfilling the recommendations of the Interregional Conference on Teaching Statistics to Medical Undergraduates held in Karachi. Pakistan, in 1978 both World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe and the Society of Physical and Mathematical Biology of the GDR organized a European Symposium about this problems $panded by the themes of spezialization and postgraduate training. More than 100 ECientid8 from 16 countries took part. 57 papers and 11 postere were presented partly in two parallel sessions.
