✦ Synopsis
The conference will highlight some of the interesting recent developments in architecture and the building industry. Particular attention will be given to the new developments and prospects in solar architecture and bioclimatic building design. The present programme includes more than 180 papers which provide in particular a review of the most recent building realisations in this field, active solar installations, new products and components, the problem of comfort, day lighting and others. Papers will be given in oral presentations and poster sessions. There will be an exhibition and demonstration of design tools and computer aided design, and also an opportunity for technical visits to the Bauzentrum, several solar houses in Munich and its surroundings and possibly a special exhibition on clay as a building material.
This important event is being sponsored by the Commission of the European Communities, the European Glass Industry Association and various architectural associations.
