Milled talc production, currently running at around 18,000 tonnes/y, will be transferred to RTM's Weisskirchen plant. The company is also closing a 19,000 tonnes/y underground leucophyllite mine at Kleinfeistritz, but to compensate, a new open-pit mine is about to commence operations in the same area. At Rabenwold, the largest talc deposit in Middle Europe, mining operations are being transferred from the northern pit to the newly developed southern pit.
