✦ Synopsis

Estradiol in doses of 2 and 4 micrograms increased uterine triphenyltetrazolium (TTC) metabolism at day of breeding when administered for two days prior to breeding. Estradiol as administered in these experiments resulted in decreased uterine TTC metabolism at day 4 and 8 of gestation when compared to the metabolism of untreated females.

Two micrograms of estradiol administered one and two days prior to breeding increased reproductive performance. Two micrograms of estradiol administered one day prior to breeding and at day of breeding drastically reduced reproductive performance.

## Abstract The effects of subacute exposure to atrazine on body weight, ovarian cycling, conception rate and the size of litters in Fischer strain rats were studied. An atrazine dose of 120 mg kg^βˆ’1^ body wt given p.o. daily for 7 days to both female and male rats caused statistically significant

Hexachlorobenzene (HCB) is a polyhalogenated aromatic hydrocarbon widely distributed in the environment. In animal testing, HCB has been shown to be a reproductive toxin. Previous investigations of the effects of HCB on ovarian function have yielded equivocal results. Thus, the effects of chronic ad

The effects and action mechanisms of estradiol on aldosterone secretion in female rats were studied. Replacement of estradiol benzoate (EB) increased the levels of plasma estradiol and aldosterone in ovariectomized (Ovx) rats. The aldosterone release from zona glomerulosa (ZG) cells was higher in EB

The effects of estradiol benzoate (EB) on steroidogenesis in rat zona fasciculata-reticularis (ZFR) cells were studied. Female rats were ovariectomized (Ovx) for 2 weeks and then injected subcutaneously with oil or EB for 3 days before decapitation. ZFR cells were isolated and incubated with adrenoc
