✦ Synopsis

Literature data were used to construct logp = f(T) phase diagrams for room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs): 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imides (EMImNTf 2 and BMImNTf 2 ). The triple point of EMImNTf 2 is between 9 × 10 -19 atm and 8 × 10 -18 atm and for BMImNTf 2 it is between 4 × 10 -15 atm and 4 × 10 -17 atm. The triple point temperature is close to their normal melting points. Estimated figures may serve as the first approximation of RTILs phase diagrams.
