In this investigation the weight estimation procedure of Rossavik was reassessed with particular emphasis on parameter estimation and performance over a wide weight range. Using a cross-sectional data set (193 patients), a longitudinal data set (20 patients), and an iterative procedure, parameter es

โฆ Synopsis
The simultaneous estimation of individual growth curvea and a mean gtowth curve is accomplished by weighted least squares. A polynomial curve is fitted for each individual and the polynomial parameters are linear functions of parameters corresponding to covariatee. A simple, computationally efficient variance-covariance estimator is derived. The resaltant estimate is used in the weighted least squares estimation. The results are compared to empirical B a p estimation.
