✦ Synopsis


This paper presents a numerical method in which the Kalman filter and the extended Kalman filter techniques are applied to the ground temperature control analysis with the finite element method. The purpose of this research is to identify the unknown parameters that are involved in the physical models and to estimate the temperature which can not be observed in a direct manner. In order to justify the present method, numerical computations are carried out, which ensures the adaptability of the method.
