β¦ Synopsis
In his familiar and accessible style, Chris Kyriacou examines the nature and development of teaching skills. This book will be an invaluable aid for the student and newly qualified teacher alike, and it is an excellent resource for the more experienced teacher or teacher trainer. This third edition has been fully revised to take account of the UK's new 2007 standards for teacher training/teacher development and the move towards evidence-informed teaching policy. The book includes practice developments in the areas of personalized learning, whole-class interactive teaching, inclusion, assessment for learning, and the Every Child Matters agenda. It also contains chapters on planning, preparing, presenting, and managing lessons, and includes sections on classroom climate and discipline to help promote positive pupil behavior.
