✦ Synopsis
In Portugal there are four endemic 'taxa' of Thymus: Th. villosus L. subsp. villosus, Th. lotocephalus G . Lopez & R. Morales, Th. camphoratus Hoffmanns. & Link and Th. capitellatus Hoffmanns. 8i Link. As a contribution to better knowledge, keys with taxonomic features and chemical composition of their essential oils are given. It was possible to describe some chemotypes of those taxa for the first time. KEY WORDS Thvmus villosus L. subsv. villosus Thvmus lotoceuhalus G . Lovez & R.
