## Abstract The essential oil of __Hypericum hirsutum__ was analysed for the first time. Twentyβseven components were identified. The nonβterpene compounds had the highest contribution (46.6%). A low monoterpenes content (1.3%) characterized the oil. The major constituents were __n__βundecane (32.2
