The chemical composition of the essential oils of Salvia verticillata L. and Salvia santolinifolia Boiss. growing wild in Iran were examined by GC and GCยฑMS. Twenty-seven components were characterized for S. verticillata with b-caryophyllene (24.7%), g-muurolene (22.8%), limonene (8.9%) and a-humule
