Information is given on the effect of high pressure on the decay of free radicals in irradiated polyethylene. The dependence of the rate constant for decay on pressure (1-13,000 atm) was determined at 80, 90, 100 and 110 Β°. The mechanism of the effect of pressure on the rate constant and activation

## Abstract The decay of free radicals in irradiated PMMA subjected to high pressures has been studied by the method of ESR. The rate constants and activation energies has been determined for the decay of free radicals at the pressures of 5000 and 10,000 atm over the temperature range of 100–170Β°C.
