A review o f the various simultaneous ESH-electrochemica1 techniques that have been developed is presented. Special advantages and disarlvantages of the stationary and tlow-through cell configurations are described. A critic~il evaluation of the in .visU ESH-electrochemical cells developed t o date has also been made. A selected survey o f applications is presented t o illustrate the wide range of chemical information on redox reactions which can be obtained by the simultaneous ESlI-electroclicniical method.
