✦ Synopsis

The X-band ESR spectra of manganese(I1) complexes with nucleobase constituents such as pyridine, imidazole and purine have been analysed at various metal to ligand molar ratios and pH values. Mixed complexing Mn(II)-H20-N base, together with the direct N base coordination of the metal ion, have been characterized on the basis of the ESR parameters a, AH, intensity and line shape. The ESR evidence for a direct interaction of pyridme and imidazole with Mn(1I) is reported.

Various predominant and minor complexes of glycylglycine with the copper(II) ion were studied in fluid aqueous solution by ESR spectroscopy. The computer analysis of a series of overlapping spectra was carried out including at most four independent species. The spectra were built as a hyperfine stru
