✦ Synopsis

The second summer school of the European Society for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology (ESMTB) will take place in the seminary of SiguK enza, which will also house participants and instructors. SiguK enza is about 60 miles from Madrid and can be reached by regional train.

There will be two types of courses: Core courses, intended for all participants, will be given in the morning and will consist of lectures on Cell Physiology, Cell Migration, Cell Kinetics and Cell Evolution. The afternoon courses will be given in parallel and are designed for smaller groups and will be of a more interactive nature. They will include The Biology of Signalling, Cell Biomechanics, Cellular Automata and Cell-based Models, Image Analysis, Inverse methods, Markov Process Models in Evolution, Semigroup Theory for Population Dynamics, Statistical Analysis of Gene Expression. Full details of these courses are available on the web (http://www.siguenza.eurobiomath.org). Lecturers include A.
