Cette nouvelle est écrite par John Ostrander et illustrée par Jan Duursema, les deux auteurs de la série de comics Dawn of the Jedi, durant laquelle se passe donc le roman de Tim Lebbon et Éruption.

Cette histoire se déroule donc 25793 ans avant la Bataille de Yavin. On retrouve deux Rangers Je’daii, Hawk Ryo (le Twi’lek vu dans les comics) et Lanoree Brock (l’héroïne du roman) envoyés sur l’une des lunes de la planète Obri, dans le système de Tython, afin de régler un différend entre une entreprise et les ouvriers de celle-ci.
