โฆ Synopsis
The purpose of this paper is to present and illustrate an approach to error calculation for PLS model parameters, in particular errors for score vectors, loading vectors and interesting combinations of these vectors. The paper is not a tutorial on PLS. The published literature has much information about parameter estimation techniques, but much less has been published about error calculations. Perhaps this paper can help initiate dialogue leading to standard methods for error calculation and use in chemometrics. O 1996 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

This book takes a fresh look at the popular and well-established method of maximum likelihood for statistical estimation and inference. It begins with an intuitive introduction to the concepts and background of likelihood, and moves through to the latest developments in maximum likelihood methodolog
