Formulas axe established for the errors in the eigenvalues obtained by using standard Numerov integration methods. These error estimates can be used to derive more accurate eigenvalues without the necessity of increasing the number of iteration steps.

## Abstract The weighted histogram analysis method (WHAM) has become the standard technique for the analysis of umbrella sampling simulations. In this article, we address the challenges (1) of obtaining fast and accurate solutions of the coupled nonlinear WHAM equations, (2) of quantifying the stat
## Abstract A comparison of eight density functional models for predicting the molecular structures, vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities, and Raman scattering activities of platinum(II) antitumor drugs, cisplatin and carboplatin, is reported. Methods examined include the pure density func
There is discussion of the application of reciprocal chromatography to study of the glass transition in polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl acetate and their copolymers. This study shows one glass transition in PVAc, but three in PAN, in agreement with studies by the i.r.-method. The copolymers indicate a
Study of glass transitions in PVC-PS and PVC-PAN mixtures by the method of "molecular probes" indicates possible compatibility of PVC-PS mixtures with either low or high PS-content. PVC-PAN mixtures seem to be incompatible for the whole range of compositions.
