After our paper was accepted for publication, I found the prior publication by V. Pavone and his colleagues. They have already reported nmr and xTray analysis of cyclo( -P-Ala-Pro-)2 in their paper (Biopolymers, Vol. 32, 173-183 ( 1992). "6-Alanine Containing Peptides: A Novel Molecular Tool for the Design of y-Turns"). In our Biupulymers article, we reported the conformational analysis of cyclo( P-Ala-Pro-)2 in solution by nmr, CD and ir spectra. Our results of its conformational analysis closely resembled their data.
