From these results it is predicted that the osmotic pressure of a half-normal solution will be found to lie between 13 and I4 atmospheres at 20 ° , and probably between I3" 4 and iy8 atmospheres, while it is certain that for normal solutions of sugar it is not less than 3"4 atmospheres.
