Although higher ambient \(\mathrm{CO}_{2}\) concentration is known to promote increased plant productivity under optimal growing conditions, it is not obvious if there will be a sustained growth response in natural and plantation ecosystems, where other resources, such as nutrients, may become limit

The observed activation of energy for a unimolecular reaction in the low pressure limit deviates from the high pressure activation energy by two contributing factors; these factors are discussed and applied to the decomposition of CO2. The correction is found to be approximately 30 kcal.
