The influence of a "amtinuous" distribution of particle sizes on the equation of state of disperskma ofhard-discs zmd hard-spheres is discussed-The van der Waals one-fluid approlcimation gives simple expressions for the &ange in p_essure with degxe of ~oiydispersity. For hardqheres at low volume :raction, good agreement is obtained with the exact Percus-Yevick result.
