The sestet with characteristic rnr dependent line widths appears to be due to Am4' at Ba2* _ sate in k-fold oxygen coordination. From the known hyperfine fields due to core pokrisation of Am2* and Am", it is conjuctured that the sextet xvith A = 10 G is due to neutral americium atoms with confiintion 5f77z?_
