β¦ Synopsis
EPR mcasuremcnts at zero magnetic field have provided ;Iccur;Itc mcasurcmcnts of hypcrfiic principal values for the vanadyl ion doped in a series of Tutton salts. Unlike in previous EPR determinations, 111~ in-plane anisotropy of the flyperfine tensor was found to vary only slightly from one environment IO another. The nuclear quadrupolc interaction term has also been dcrcrmincd from the zero-field spectrum and yields CI value for the nuclear quadrupole moment of 5 1 V in agreemcnt with that determined from atomic-beam mcasurcmcnts.
