β¦ Synopsis
By applying biochemical, histochemical and electron microscopical methods the authors studied the effect of the whole body vertical sinusoidal vibration ( 100 Hz 0,1 mm) on rat liver The activity of SDH and ATP-ase was significantly decreased, whereas the G 1-6-PDH and LDH was markedly increased in liver homogenates and kryostate slices Certain abnormalities concerning the number, size and internal organization of the mitochondria were observed. The data revealed by the biochemical, histochemical and ultrastructural study show the possibility of involvement of liver tissue in vibration caused damages.
