β¦ Synopsis
All slurry pumps are subject to wear because of the abrasive nature of the process fluids they handle. Wear progressively reduces hydraulic efficiency, and consequently increases operating costs, throughout the lifetime of the pump. Mark Attride, Product Manager Pumps, considers the effects of wear, and discusses how material selection for critical components and a redesign of wet-end hydraulics have enhanced the efficiency and lifetime of Warman Ultra heavy-duty slurry pumps.
