✦ Synopsis
In this work we present the design and characterization of a simple passi¨e microwa¨e filter circuit with low impedance output. This circuit, designed for optical microwa¨e harmonic mixing of digital signals up to 1 Gbit r s at any harmonic-generated carrier, combines a bandpass filter centered at 9.5 GHz with 1.2-GHz bandwidth and a low-pass filter in the frequency band of 10 kHz᎐1 GHz, enabling high-and lowfrequency modulation schemes. Using this circuit in a hybrid integration with a DFB laser configured as an optical microwa¨e mixer, we demonstrate that an impro¨ement of 6 dB is obtained on both frequency bands.
