The e4ect of isovalent chemical substitution of Ba 2ุ‰ into the Sr 2ุ‰ sites on the structural and magnetic transition in La 0.6 (Sr 0.4ุŠx Ba x )MnO 3 (x โ€ซุโ€ฌ 0+0.4) has been investigated. The rhombohedral structure with space group RุŠ3c is observed in this series of materials. Substitution of Sr and B
