Arginine vasopressin (AVP) produced in the hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) plays a role in establishing neuroendocrine rhythms and, in particular, in regulating the corticotrope axis rhythm. It has recently been shown that AVP from SCN inhibits corticosteroid release. In order to investiga
