โœฆ Synopsis

Dynamic sealing Engineering design report on solving mixer seal problems Durametallic UK has produced an engineering design report on solving mixer sealing problems, including both top and side entry types as typically used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, food supplements, polymers, solvents and other chemical preparations. Comprising a single sheet colour leaflet, the report illustrates the use of the company's type MSS split Dura seal.

This is claimed to be a cost effective answer to mixer seal problems and to eliminate the need to completely dismantle the power train for seal replacement.

The MSS Dura seal incorporates self lubricating faces coupled with a heat dissipating design which ensures that the seal can be run dry if required as a practical alternative to packings and liquid running seals.

This eliminates the need for buffer fluid systems and consequently prevents any possibility of adverse chemical reaction from inadvertent product contamination.

The leaflet illustrates the simple five stage method of seal installation, even in cramped stuffing box areas, with full seal replacement often achieved in 45 minutes or less.
