✦ Synopsis

We have obtamed the energy-resolved fluorescence spectrum of NO C *rI( o = 1) excited monochromatically by synchrotron radiation. When Ar is added to NO the global fluorescence from NO* C(1) is strongly increased, showing a decrease m the number of dissociating NO molecules.

Magnetic field effects on the banded emission from the V 'Bt state of CS2 have been studied. A magnetic field was found to decrease the integrated intensity of the fluorescence excitation spectrum and to shorten the lifetime of a picosecond component. These results indicate that a magnetic field enh
