Standards were prepared for quantitative X-ray microanalysis of the halogen elements Cl, Br and I in sections of resin embedded biological specimens. Halogenated aromatic compounds were dissolved in resin, which subsequently was polymerized. Homogeneity and stability of the standards were determined
