The palliation of malignant biliary obstruction by the endoscopic insertion of an endoprosthesis is rapidly gaining acceptance as a safer alternative to surgical bypass'. Endoscopic palliation has been restricted almost entirely to elderly, unfit patients, but we report here the successful use of the technique in a 2-year-old boy.
