โœฆ Synopsis

We consider the problem of deriving accurate end conditions for cubic spline interpolation at equally spaced knots. In particular we derive a number of end conditions which lead to derivative approximations of high accuracy.

Several approximate methods for cubic spline curve fitting have been developed and successfully used. A plene cubic spline segment is given. We wont to epproximote Its offset line by another cubic spline segment. Therefore we take the known curvotures end tangents ot the endpoints of the offset line end colculete the corresponding spline. Finally examples ore given.
