✦ Synopsis

Application of N-anthracenylmethyl cinchonidinium chloride quaternary ammonium phase-transfer catalysts to the enantio-and diastereoselective synthesis of dityrosine and isodityrosine is reported. Under liquidliquid phase-transfer conditions the key (x-a~nino acid substituents are introduced with high enantioselectivity (~95%e.e.).
