Enantioselective epoxidation of prochiral allylic alcohols with optically active 4,6-di-0-acetyl-2,3-dideoxy-a-~-threo-hex-2-enopyranosyl hydroperoxide in the presence of Ti(o-i-P~-)~ gives chiral epoxy alcohols with moderate enantiomeric excess.
