## Abstract Pure bovine serum albumin, which has no Na^β€’^/K^β€’^‐selectivity, may become strongly selective for Na^β€’^ or for K^β€’^ if it is associated with positive or negative detergents. A strong influence of the salt anion is observed: if Brβ€² is used instead of Clβ€², the negative charge of the albu
