✦ Synopsis

A measurement method has been developed which can be used to measure the ultrasonic velocity of one liquid phase of an emulsion. The principle of this method is the re¯ection of a focused ultrasonic wave on the droplets of the other liquid phase. This technique allows analysing in line the evolution of acoustic properties of one phase of the emulsion, principally during liquid±liquid extraction processes.
