The 7th International Symposium on Electrochemical Micro & Nanosystem Technologies was held on September 15th-18th 2008 at Kibutz Ein-Gedi, Dead Sea, Israel. The conference continued the tradition of the six previous successful symposia. Following the general tendency in science, equal emphasis was put on both microscopic and nanoscopic aspects of electrochemical systems technology. The conference honored Prof. Eliezer Gileadi from Tel Aviv University for his lifetime contribution to electrochemistry. Prof. E. Gileadi served as honorary chairman of the EMNT2008 conference.
140 scientists from 24 countries participated in this meeting. The symposium continued a series of meetings which started in 1996 in Grevenbroich, Germany (Special Issue of Electrochim. Acta 42 (20-22) (1997), J.W. Schultze Ed.) and was held biannually together with the renowned Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
