The eminent Romanian scientist Professor Emil Chifu died on he developed theories and experimental methods and techniques based on his original ideas. April 1, 1997, at age 72. A great physicochemist and a worldrenowned scientist, he was one of the founders of the modern Professor Chifu made essential contributions to the teaching of colloid science with his book ''Colloidal Chemistry,'' published science of colloids, surfaces, and membrane phenomena.
In 1949, after graduating from the University of Cluj-Napoca, in 1969. Recently, he finished a fully revised and updated edition of this book (in press), including his standard work on modern with a major in physical chemistry, he began his scientific and academic career as a lecturer in the Department of Physical Chem-surface science and new approaches to the thermodynamics and hydrodynamics of thin films. Concurrently, from 1951 to 1953, Emil Chifu worked in the Institute of Chemistry, a branch in the field. Professor Chifu was awarded First Prize in 1967 for his outstanding scientific achievements in the field of chemistry and appointed From 1970 to 1991, Emil Chifu was Professor and Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry at his alma mater, where he Distinguished Professor in 1980 by the Romanian Ministry of Education. In 1983, he was awarded the prestigious Gheorghe Spacu continued his scientific activity until the last days of his life.
